Temperature: minus 10 degrees Celsius at the Tokachidake Hot Springs (Tokachidake Onsen).
A depression was approaching. It made the temperature high. An inversion layer produced by a radiative cooling during the night was still existing. However, clouds were covering more and more. The road was covered with compacted snow beneath the thin layer of fresh snow. He did the interval training between the summit (1280m) and 1080m of altitude. At the summit, a foreign skier who had already begun climbing asked him in English from a distance how many laps he did. The skier said he knew him. He answered he was on the second lap. He did another lap before finishing the training.
