Mikuni Pass 44
Temperature: minus 21 degrees Celsius in the KTV (katabatic valley) and minus 17 degrees Celsius at the Mikuni Pass
It was snowing hardly in the west of Sounkyo. The radiative cooling was stronger than expected in the middle of the climb, especially around the KTV. He should have brought the goggles with heating lenses as he felt cold. The road was covered with hard ice on the ruts. He found the traces of a bike which was his. It means there was very small precipitation after Mikuni Pass 43. The road was covered with thin layer of fresh snow around the summit. After reaching the summit, he descended comfortably in the back catabatic wind. He did the interval training during the descent.
