Mt.Tokachidake (Mt.Tokachi) 203
Temperature: minus 3 degrees Celsius at the Tokachidake Hot Springs (Tokachidake Onsen).
It had snowed more than 20cm and the road was covered with snow of 10cm. The snow on the road was wet and very heavy. It made very difficult to ride. He commenced the training at the summit. After some attempt of interval training which was unsuccessful, he was thinking if he would descend or not. He knew he would be able to descend but he wouldn’t be able to climb back because of this wet and heavy snow. Finally he decided to descend because he knew the approximate time where a snowplough would come. He could barely descend. He made a U-turn to climb back. He could ride at the sections which aren’t steep but he was unable to climb at the steep parts of the climb. So he had waited for a snowplough and it came soon. After the snow removal, he could climb without any problems. He did the interval training at the summit.
