Senbo Pass
Temperature: minus 11 degrees Celsius at the Senbo Pass
The seasonal winds were extremely strong. It was supposed to do training on the Ishikari Plain. However, it would be dangerous to train there as the visibility was too low because of the ground blizzard. Therefore, he decided to train on the Furano Basin and at the Senbo Pass where the visibility was much better. The road surface was covered with ice beneath the fresh snow. After the warming up on the plain, he climbed up to the summit of the Senbo Pass.
