Mt.Tokachidake (Mt.Tokachi) 148
Temperature: minus 25 degrees Celsius at the Tokachidake Hot Springs (Tokachidake Onsen).
The route to the Mt.Tokachidake was closed due to the snow storm of the day before. He had ridden at the foot of the mountain until the road was opened to the traffic. The snow on the road was well compacted. It’s rare to have so good snow on this route. The diamond dust was falling from the sky. It was very cold up to 800m of altitude. But above this altitude, it wasn’t cold anymore as you had a strong sunlight. He did the interval training at the summit. He met a skier from New Zealand at the summit and chatted with him for a while.
