Temperature: minus 2 degrees Celsius at the Tokachidake Hot Springs (Tokachidake Onsen)
He was supposed to ride with his summer bike this day. However, it snowed during the night. So he changed the plan to do the training with his winter bike. The snow surface was well crusted. It was an optimal road condition for this period of the year: the first half of October. He repeated the climbing and the descent between 1050m-1280m of altitude where the road was snow covered. A fox which often disturbs the training seemed to be sleepy this day. It was calm and didn’t bother the training this day.
