Temperature: minus 13 degrees Celsius at the Asahidake Hot Springs (Asahidake Onsen)
The snow on the road was muddy between the altitude of 800-1000m. You needed more power to climb than usual because of muddy snow. However, the last 1.5km, the snow was well compacted and he did sprint training there. Trees were covered with soft rime at high altitudes. He couldn’t speed on the descent because of strong head winds and muddy snow.
