Temperature: minus 9 degrees Celsius at the Asahidake Hot Springs (Asahidake Onsen)
The road surface was covered with hard ice beneath the snow. The ascension was uneventful. On the descent, a fast car passed him. It’s rare that cars pass bikes on the descent as bikes are more suitable for high speed descent. He tried to keep up the speed of this car but on the climb of a small hill, he dropped behind.
