Mt.Asahidake (Mt.Asahi) 5 - Tenninkyo
Temperature: minus 15 degrees Celsius at the Asahidake Hot Springs (Asahidake Onsen)
The snow removal operation was underway. However, the snow on the road, especially at the both sides of the road was muddy. He needed more power to climb than usual. At the summit, he met a British ski guide he had met several times at the Mt.Tokachidake. He asked why he wasn’t riding at the Mt.Tokachidake this day. He responded because of too much snow melting agent. He couldn’t speed on the descent because of muddy snow. He rode at around 40km/h. After the Mt.Asahidake, he went to Tenninkyo to do the interval training.
