Mt.Tokachidake (Mt.Tokachi) 99
Temperature: minus 15 degrees Celsius at the Tokachidake Hot Springs (Tokachidake Onsen).
The snow on the road wasn’t cleared. Higher you climbed, more you had snow on the road. Passing 900m of altitude, it became difficult to restart if you stopped where the road is steep due too deep snow. But a bus passed him and he could climb further tracing the ruts of the bus. The content of bottle was completely frozen at 1000m of altitude. The ruts of bus were gone at 1200m of altitude where a hotel is and he had to climb on his own. He could climb the most of part but he had to walk the steepest part due to deep snow. He repeated the interval training at the summit avoiding huge snowdrifts. He met a Québécoise at the summit. She asked him where he is from as his French accent is different from that of Québec.
