Mt.Tokachidake (Mt.Tokachi) 56
Temperature: minus 17 degrees Celsius at the Tokachidake Hot Springs (Tokachidake Onsen).
The snowfall had just begun before the start. The snowfall was heavy and the snow depth was augmenting rapidly. The road was covered with a thick fresh snow. He needed much more power than usual to climb the steepest part of the route. So he traced ruts to clear the steepest part. After the interval training at the summit, he met a group of Swedish skiers and talked with them for a while. Later, he met another group of Swedish skiers. They asked him if he was Japanese. They thought he wasn’t Japanese as he speaks English. After that, he talked with anther group composed with American skiers before the descent.
