Mt.Tokachidake (Mt.Tokachi) 53
Temperature: minus 11 degrees Celsius at the Tokachidake Hot Springs (Tokachidake Onsen).
The road surface state was more or less good. He forgot to bring the anti-fog band which prevents glasses from getting fogged. So he had to climb without it. But as the temperature was high, the fog on the lenses didn’t get frozen without anti-fog band. He entered clouds at 950m of altitude. Almost all objects including trees, traffic signs were covered with thick soft rime above this altitude. The bike was covered with soft rime as well. The brakes became less effective as the brake discs and the brake cables were covered with soft rime.
