Mt.Tokachidake (Mt.Tokachi) 37
Temperature: minus 9 degrees Celsius at the Tokachidake Hot Springs (Tokachidake Onsen).
The road was covered with thick fresh snow. It was the second worst snow condition after Mt.Tokachidake 16. He followed a pair of ruts up to 1140m of altitude where there is an inn. The ruts ended there. He continued his course with a lot of difficulties. He had to walk to get over the snowdrifts in the last part of the climb. At the same time, cars had difficulties in climbing as well. However, a Subaru Forester cut the path and other cars followed its ruts. Subaru cars have good reputation for performances in the snow. He tried to do the interval training but it was very difficult. He renounced the training and began to descend. But during the descent, a snowplough came. He climbed again as the road had been cleared of snow and did the training.
